Export Finance via Agro Network

Turn export opportunities into finance-ready transactions.

Ugandan coffee and cocoa exporters need working capital to source produce, meet quality requirements, prepare shipments and fulfil contracts—while managing the cost of borrowing.

Agro Network helps registered exporters organise market requirements, prepare transaction documentation and explore financing options that may fit their export cycle.

Stage 1

Identify your market requirements

Define the buyer, destination, product specifications, volume, quality standards, delivery schedule and expected price. Estimate procurement, processing, certification and logistics costs. Gather buyer enquiries or draft contracts where available.

Stage 2

Explore financing with Agro Network

Prepare a finance-ready transaction pack and explore potentially suitable options, such as short-term working capital, pre-shipment, inventory-backed or post-shipment finance. Compare total costs, fees, currency exposure and security requirements.

Stage 3

Prepare the import contract

Invite your buyer/importer to prepare a draft contract covering specifications, quantity, price, delivery and payment terms. Where appropriate, explore payment-security mechanisms and align funding with shipment and payment milestones.

Financing challenges. Practical next steps.

  • High interest costs: Compare the total cost of eligible facilities, not just the headline rate.
  • Collateral requirements: Organise available business records, inventory evidence, supplier commitments and buyer documents; ask each provider what security it accepts.
  • Cash needed before shipment: Map the timing and size of the funding gap and explore a facility aligned to the export cycle.
  • Payment delays: Assess post-shipment finance or suitable documentary payment arrangements.
  • Application complexity: Consolidate buyer, supplier, cost, quality and cash-flow information into a consistent transaction pack.

Agro Network helps registered exporters prepare and explore potential financing options; funding is not guaranteed. All facilities are subject to provider eligibility, due diligence, credit approval, pricing, security requirements and contract terms.
